Kevin Neuhoff

Kevin Neuhoff, a native of Saint Louis, attended Interlochen Arts Academy and received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Saint Louis Conservatory. A scholarship student of Richard Holmes and John Kasica, he continued his studies at the Aspen Festival and at the San Francisco Conservatory with Barry Jekowsky, Charles Owens and James Weimer.

Now a resident of San Francisco, he holds the post of timpanist with the Western Opera National Touring Orchestra, the Berkeley Symphony and the Fremont Symphony. He is a member of the Marin Symphony playing principal percussion, and is frequently invited to play with the San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose Symphonies.

As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed with the Cabrillo Festival, the Oakland Ballet, the Modern Japanese Ensemble and, as a guest artist, he has played with the New Century Chamber Orchestra and with the Paul Dresher Ensemble at the Festival de Théâtre des Amériques in Montreal.

He tours regularly with Western Opera Theater, and his playing can be heard on recordings released on the Harmonia Mundi, Triloka, New Albion and Nonesuch labels.
